Soft limestone for animal feed – LIME MEAL

Particle size: 1.2 mm – 4 mm

Recommended use of lime meal: add 0.5–2 dag (a level teaspoon to a level tablespoon) of meal per kilogram of concentrate feed, according to how much lime the age of the animals, their purpose and the quality of the feed make necessary. Guaranteed composition: calcium at least 36%, phosphorus 0.03%. It serves to make up calcium deficiency.

Shelf life: unlimited when stored as indicated.

Withdrawal period: 0 days

Storage: in a dry, cool place, separated from toxic and strong-smelling substances.

Packaging: in 5/1 kg units, in 25/1 kg and 50/1 kg sacks, and in Big-Bags.

Lime meal for a healthy poultry flock

Replacing calcium matters from birth to the end of life, to strengthen the skeleton of the animals.
In poultry rearing, lime meal (a grainy product about the size of a rice grain) supplies the calcium needed for bone growth up to 5–7 weeks of age. At that stage a feed calcium content of 2% is still sufficient. After that, alongside a significant transformation of the skeleton, the calcium requirement rises, preparing layers for the increased demand of egg and shell formation. The calcium content of the feed can then reach 3.75%, and at that point lime grit (about the size of a maize kernel) is added to the feed instead.

This mineral matters not only for large animals — horses, cattle, turkeys, emus — but also for the health of reptiles, shelled animals and small pets.
