Soft limestone grind – FUTOR
Particle size: 0 mm – 1.2 mm
A soft limestone grind with high calcium content and free of chemical additives. Because of its porous structure the grain dissolves quickly in gastric acid over a large surface area, so its calcium is well utilised. As a feed supplement it is used to prevent calcium deficiency, to supply the skeleton with calcium, and to cover the increased calcium demand of egg production and moulting.
Species in which it is used to make up calcium deficiency: pigs, cattle, small poultry and other farm animals.
Spread on the land, or used for liming, futor also contributes significantly to improving acidic soils. This is highly favourable for the crops planted there, and shows already at the autumn harvest.
Shelf life: unlimited when stored as indicated.
Withdrawal period: 0 days
Storage: in a dry, cool place, separated from toxic and strong-smelling substances.
Packaging: in 5/1 kg units, in 25/1 kg and 50/1 kg sacks, and in Big-Bags.
Contains no veterinary medicinal product.
The dose depends on the species, the age and the calcium content of the feed — we are glad to help you determine the quantity.
On any livestock farm the health of the birds or animals kept there deserves particular attention. The main reason is simple: a business cannot run efficiently on animals that are constantly ill and have a weak immune system. One of the most important products for keeping animals healthy is futor.
Futor plays a role above all in preventing the symptoms of calcium deficiency — a weak skeleton and thin eggshells. Laying and pregnant animals have the greatest calcium demand, and that is where supplementation matters most. Futor is not a medicine and does not replace veterinary or nutritional advice. If you have any questions about dosing the grind, do contact us — we will gladly help.
